My Approach

Alex Guldbeck, Clinical Hypnotist & NLP Coach

Alex Guldbeck — Transformational Hypnotherapist & NLP Coach

I’m a hypnotherapist based in Miami Beach. I work with people who are at a turning point — capable, functional, but misaligned with where they actually need to be going.

Most of what stops people isn’t lack of insight. It’s that the part of them that already knows can’t get a hearing. My work is helping you find that part, listen to it, and let it heal, help and protect you – something like scuba diving together.

You tell me what’s going on and I listen carefully — what you’re saying, what you’re circling but not naming, and what’s underneath the surface. Out of that I build a healing story specific to you, and we enter the trance state together. You go down into the experience; I’m there too, just slightly off to the side. Most of the time I’m seeing what you’re seeing and feeling what you’re feeling. The story unlocks your own natural power.

My goal is to walk with you through the dark forest of your own deep mind. Not lighting it up and pulling the weeds for you — but walk beside you on the path together, helping you repair the broken connections and missing footbridges in your inner world, so you can steer yourself with confidence. Sometimes people solve deep problems they don’t even have words for. One well-built session is often enough to shift something that’s been stuck for years.

There’s a shamanic element to how I work, and it’s not metaphorical. Alongside Western hypnotherapy and NLP, I’ve spent decades inside a handful of traditional healing and magico-religious systems — primarily African diasporic and Southeast Asian. I’m an initiated practitioner in more than a few of these, not a tourist or a borrower. The traditions inform what I do at the level of method — how a story heals, how trance gets used, how a person’s inner figures and helpers actually show up when given a chance.

I don’t bring belief, dogma, or anyone else’s iconography into a session. What I bring is the technical understanding that storytelling, imagery, and trance are healing tools — older than psychology, broader than any one tradition, and remarkably well-suited to the kind of work my clients actually need.

My approach isn’t script-based, symptom-focused, or open-ended therapy. It’s designed for people ready to do real interior work, in a session or two of focused effort rather than years of weekly check-ins. I’m based in Miami Beach and work with clients in person and online.
